THE PROGRAM

Four Pods of On-Campus Ministry

1.  Campus Clubs

Since inception, UYC has reached 31,200 unique students through public school outreach. We average 2,500 students per week at voluntarily student-led faith clubs operating in seven cities, four US states, and three countries.

2.  Chaplaincy

UYC comes alongside coaches and athletes for team chapels, pre-game meals, on-field optional prayers, and a summer sports camp in partnership with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). Since inception, close to 2,000 students attended summer sports camp on scholarships and hundreds more per year experience team chapels and pre-game talks from UYC staff.

3.  Sexual Risk Avoidance Education (Abstinence Programming)

We reach 1,300 students per year How many total since inception? with the life-changing message of voluntary abstinence until marriage in California and South Carolina. Pending grant funding will increase this by 500 per year if awarded. How many have been awarded this grant?

4.  Tutoring

We have limited stats on tutoring as it is a fairly new initiative launched during Covid-19. We have several campuses where students are supported by caring adults who give of their time, academic expertise, and life experiences.Students from all four ministry “pods” are invited to participate in our intensive discipleship program (100+ students per year), Project 25 Community Service Challenge (500 students per year / 300,000 student-led hours of community service since inception).

Mission:  Win kids to Christ, especially from disadvantaged and underserved communities, connect them to church where they can grow into healthy and mature disciples, and mobilize them as kingdom change agents that transform their families, schools, neighborhoods, cities, and world for Jesus! We need to make this more succinct. Something like, “We help/serve/etc. students from underserved communities meet Jesus, grow in the local church, and become world-changing disciples.”

Vision: By 2028, reach 10,000 students per week with the gospel at 200 public schools in 10 US cities and three global locations.
