Rev. Nate Landis, M.Div., Ph.D. is the author of God Wants His Kids Back and the founder of Urban Youth Collaborative. He began his ministry at a Presbyterian church in Southern California and quickly realized that the kids in his community were never going to stumble inside his congregation — he would have to go to them. With the support of his wife, he quit his job and began an innovative outreach youth ministry that focused on meeting kids’ needs and raising up student leaders. It became the Urban Youth Collaborative. Today, UYC reaches 3,500 kids every week at 100 schools in San Diego, Tijuana, Atlanta, and Columbia, South Carolina.

As a local pastor, Dr. Landis understands the challenges of engaging the next generation. He wants to share the same proven strategies that he and the UYC coalition of churches use to reach kids in their own neighborhoods every day.
